Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 10g Clears Heat, especially in the Upper Jiao and relieves toxicity.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 3g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops coughing, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.
With Jie Geng, for pain and swelling of the throat.
Sm. Sesame Nigri Hei Zhi Ma 12g Nourishes and fortifies Liver and Kidney Yin and moistens and lubricates the Intestines and Lungs.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 6g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat and opens and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Gan Cao, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity and expels pus for productive coughing with hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat.
Testa Glycinis Lu Dou Yi 5g Enriches Kidney Yin, reduces Deficiency fever, stops night sweats, clears Heat and relieves toxicity.
